Infrastructure & Transportation.
We've Worked the Systems.
Our leadership built his career in the NYC transit union — starting as a journeyman electrician in the MTA subway system and working his way up to foreman. Transit electrical is a different discipline. We've done the work from the inside.
NYC Union. MTA Subway. Journeyman to Foreman.
Our principal came up through the New York City electrical union working on the MTA subway system — one of the most complex transit electrical environments in the world. Third rail infrastructure, tunnel lighting, station electrical, signal systems — not as an outside contractor looking in, but as a union tradesman who knew the work from the ground up.
That foundation shapes how Anvil Edge approaches infrastructure and transportation electrical. We understand the coordination demands of public agency work, the safety requirements of active transit environments, and the discipline required when systems run 24 hours a day and downtime isn't an option.
Transit & Rail Electrical
The MTA runs 24/7/365. There's no such thing as a planned outage that runs long. Transit electrical requires a level of precision, coordination, and safety discipline that most commercial contractors have never encountered. We have.
Talk to Us About Your ProjectTraction Power & Third Rail Systems
Transit power infrastructure — substations, third rail, traction power distribution — installed with the precision and safety protocols live transit systems demand.
Tunnel & Station Electrical
Lighting, egress systems, environmental controls, and power distribution for underground transit environments where conditions are extreme and standards are unforgiving.
Signal & Communications Infrastructure
Transit signal systems, communications conduit and raceway, and coordination with signal contractors in active rail environments.
Public Agency Program Coordination
Working within MTA, DOT, Port Authority, and other public agency construction programs — submittals, inspections, documentation, and coordination done right.
Safety-Critical Standards
NFPA 130, transit authority electrical standards, and federally mandated safety requirements for public transit. No shortcuts on systems people's lives depend on.
Every Type of Infrastructure Project
From active transit systems to public infrastructure and transportation hub buildouts — we cover the full range of infrastructure electrical.
Transit & Rail Systems
Electrical for subway, light rail, and commuter rail infrastructure — from station buildouts to active tunnel environments.
- Station electrical and lighting systems
- Traction power and distribution
- Emergency egress and life safety
- Signal and communications raceway
- Environmental and ventilation system power
Public Infrastructure & Civil Projects
Electrical for bridges, tunnels, public works facilities, and large-scale civil infrastructure with public agency oversight.
- Bridge and tunnel electrical systems
- Public facility power infrastructure
- Federal and state agency compliance
- Coordinated commissioning with civil contractor
Transportation Hubs & Terminals
Full electrical scope for airports, train stations, bus terminals, and intermodal facilities where reliability and uptime are non-negotiable.
- High-occupancy facility electrical
- Redundant power systems
- Low-voltage: security, communications, PA
- Phased construction in active facilities
Highway & Road Electrical Systems
Traffic signal systems, street and highway lighting, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), and roadside electrical infrastructure.
- Traffic signal installation and retrofit
- Street and highway lighting
- ITS conduit and infrastructure
- DOT specification compliance
Transit Electrical Fails Differently Than Any Other Scope.
A wiring error in a commercial buildout gets corrected at inspection. A wiring error in an active transit system can shut down a line serving hundreds of thousands of riders — or worse. Our principal learned transit electrical from the ground up in the NYC union. That background means we approach infrastructure work with a different level of discipline, coordination awareness, and safety culture than contractors who haven't been in those environments.
What We Bring to Every Infrastructure Job
Infrastructure electrical requires safety discipline, public agency coordination, and experience in environments where commercial contractors don't typically operate.
Transit Power Systems
Traction power, third rail, substations — installed with the safety precision active transit infrastructure demands.
Public Agency Coordination
MTA, DOT, Port Authority, FTA — we know how public agency construction programs run and how to work within them without friction.
Active Environment Construction
Phased construction in live transit environments, coordinated outage windows, and work sequencing that keeps operations running.
Safety-Critical Standards
NFPA 130, transit authority electrical standards, and FTA requirements — built into every scope from day one, not addressed at inspection.
Emergency & Life Safety Systems
Egress lighting, emergency power, fire alarm coordination, and life safety branch circuits for high-occupancy public facilities.
Low-Voltage & Communications
Transit communications, PA systems, security cameras, access control, and ITS cabling — full low-voltage scope in one contract.
Built for the Complexity of Public Infrastructure.
Infrastructure projects run through public agencies with more oversight, more documentation, and less margin for error than any other construction environment.
Agency Review & Standards Analysis
Transit authority standards, DOT specs, FTA requirements, and NFPA 130 reviewed before mobilization.
Outage & Phasing Coordination
Planned outage windows coordinated with operations. Work sequenced so systems stay live where they need to.
Infrastructure Installation
Conduit, feeders, power systems, and communications infrastructure installed to agency specs and approved drawings.
Systems & Low-Voltage
Lighting, life safety, communications, signaling raceway, and technology systems landed and tested.
Agency Inspection & Commissioning
Public agency inspection, commissioning documentation, and final sign-off. System operational on schedule.
